Mountaineers are reminded that attendance matters!
Dear Mountaineer families,
This school year will be filled with opportunities to learn and engage!
Getting into the habit of daily attendance is more important than ever. It helps to:
- Reduce stress
- Make it easier to connect with friends and teachers
- Support learning
We are working to make our school environment a place where everyone can be safe, healthy, and learning. We will do our best to listen and partner with you so that our children have a successful year. Do not hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns.
Go Mountaineers!
The following is applicable to IMHS 9th-12th grade students:
A physical copy of the survey is available in the Superintendent's Office.
Earth Science classes visit the school forest to learn orienteering
It was a beautiful fall day last Wednesday to go outside and learn about orienteering. Students in Mr. Christiansen's Earth Science class learned about the sport of navigation yesterday afternoon during a class trip to the school forest! Click on the story from TV6 below.
We are excited to share that the Iron Mountain High School and Central Middle School gymnasiums will be undergoing a refresh project in the upcoming weeks.
Please pardon the dust as we install new bleachers, lighting, and sound equipment in the High School gym and upgrade the record boards! In addition, both gyms will have their floors refinished and the walls will receive new paint.
Iron Mountain Public Schools thanks Iron Mountain-Kingsford Community Schools for their contribution to the project and for partnering to provide functional and updated spaces for student-athletes and local members of the community in the two gymnasium locations.
Read more in Thursday's issue of the Daily News about upcoming improvements to the Iron Mountain High School and Central Middle School Gymnasiums.
